President- Tanya Morgan Tanya has been in the property management business since the early 1990’s beginning as an on-site manager and gaining experience as she held positions as office manager and property manager of student & non-student properties throughout Chico. In the late 1990’s, Tanya worked for a privately owned dormitory near the Chico State Campus. In 2000 Tanya began working for a private investor of university area properties, handling all aspects of the owner’s real estate interests. Tanya, a California licensed real estate agent, joined Hill Properties as an asset manager in 2012 and brings the full value of over 25 years experience managing student properties to the HP portfolio. She has an exceptional understanding of the industry and possesses a unique skill set including the ability to manage properties of varying size and amenities. In January 2020, Tanya and her executive partner, Wendy Griggs, purchased Hill Properties from Wes Hill. She has been an NVPOA volunteer for over 5 years holding both committee and Board positions and was the 2019-2021 Vice President. Tanya and her husband, Scott, have been married for over 20 years and share their crazy lives with their children, Sarah and Dylan.
Past President/Member at Large- Nick Yorton Nick Yorton grew up in Chico and graduated from CSU, Chico, with a degree in Biology. Nick started working in property management in 2004. He is currently overseeing the day to day operations of C Y Property Management, Inc., specializing in new technologies and marketing solutions. He is the Broker of Record for the company, a past graduate of the Certified Housing Professional Program, along with being a past NVPOA board member and is currently on the Education/Social committee for NVPOA.
Vice President - Matt Depa Matt Depa is a Chico native, avid sports fan and Real Estate industry leader. Raised on the front lines of his families' property management entity and working as a father-son duo at Re/Max of Chico for over 14 years, Matt has vast property management and real estate market experience. Matt also wears the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) lapel pin, which denotes that the wearer has completed advanced coursework in financial and market analysis and demonstrated extensive experience in the commercial real estate industry.
Secretary- Erin Campos Erin grew up in the family's property management business, even adding up the rent checks when she was 8 years old. She graduated from CA State University, Chico in 2008 with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in financial management. Since then she has worked full time for the family business, Campos Properties, starting as Nancy's assistant and now Nancy's boss. She handles all phases of the business from leasing, to accounting, and is our best communicator. Her attention to detail and public relations are major assets to our business.
Treasurer- Brittany Hightower Brittany Hightower stumbled into the property management world back in 2008 after being recruited by FPI Management Inc. Once she was hired on as a Leasing Agent, she quickly climbed the ladder to Community Director. Since then she has worked with several communities and has traveled all over northern California from Turlock, San Jose, Auburn, the greater Sacramento area and finally settled down in Chico, Ca. Brittany is a firm believer in the balance of positive resident relations while building a profitable portfolio for her clients. In 2019 she was honored with the Northern Valley Property Owners Association award for Best Property Management Staff. She currently is married to her long time love, Steffan and proud mother to baby Ryland Rose.
Stacie Powers - Education Officer Stacie Power has been practicing law since 2010. A Southern California native, she attended CSU Chico earning a B.S. in Business Administration and knew she would eventually return to Chico and make it home. She returned to Chico in 2013 and established Power Law P.C., a law firm specializing in real estate law. Power Law offers professional legal services in a very casual and personal environment. Stacie is also the CEO and Broker for Power West Properties, Inc., a property management company managing over 300 doors and owns several rental properties herself, which explains her passion for serving real estate property owners. Jon Kressin - Legislative Officer Jon started his real estate career in property management while finishing his degree at Chico state in 2004. Currently he runs a residential appraisal business serving the north state. Prior experience has included real states sales, ad valorem tax appraising, and operating a local property management company. Over the years, Jon and his wife have purchased rental homes near the university, and have relied on the educational resources of NVPOA, working hard to stay abreast of the ever-changing landlord policy and laws. Jon looks forward to continuing the education, promotion, and direction the association has established both locally and at the state.
Industry Partner Officer - Angela Waller Angela is Co-owner of C and A Cleaning with her Mom, Cindy. Angela has been in the rental housing industry for over 20 years and enjoys cleaning and being a reliable resource to NVPOA's members and the community.
